Eric has been trying to win a trip incentive through Jack Daniels. He has to be up x% and be the top salesman of their office in order to win. We are not sure where the trip is to, but last year it was Jamaica, so I imagine it will be somewhere warm w/ a beach. (Just a guess!)
We found out today that he's pretty sure he won. We will probably be finding out in the next couple of weeks as they need to book our airline tickets. Then we'll know the destination and the dates. I sure hope it doesn't conflict with any of the other dates on my calendar (like GWO)... I'll update as soon as I know specifics...
Keep your fingers crossed.... I want to be on the beach....

Friday Five - Religion
1.) Were you raised in a particular religious faith? Well, my grandparents on my dad's side always liked me to go to church with them and they are christians (I prefer). My other grandparents on my mom's side liked me to go to church with them and they are mormons (Yuck). I used to hide in the bathroom or go kicking and screaming if I had to go to the latter. I wasn't really raised on a religion though as neither of my parents went to church regularly.
2.) Do you still practice that faith? Why or why not? Since I wasn't raised on anything, I don't practice it. However, I am working on figuring out what I believe in, etc.
3.) What do you think happens after death? I'm still trying to figure that one out. I believe we go to heaven...
4.) What is your favorite religious ritual (participating in or just observing)? I always enjoy going to Candlelight service on Christmas Eve.
5.) Do you believe people are basically good? Yes overall, however some people just like to defy goodness. I think the "bad" people maybe just haven't found themselves and/or someone/thing they believe in or a reason to be good.

The Most Functional Word
Well, it's shit...that's right, shit!
Shit may just be the most functional word in the English language.
Consider:
You can get shit-faced,
Be shit out of luck,
or
have shit for brains.
With a little effort,
you can get your shit together,
Find a place for your shit,
Or
be asked to shit or get off the pot.
You can smoke shit,
buy shit,
sell shit,
lose shit,
find shit,
forget shit,
and
tell others to eat shit.
Some people know their shit,
while others can't tell the difference between Shit
and Shinola.
There are lucky shits,
dumb shits,
crazy shits,
There is bull shit,
horse shit and chicken shit.
You can throw shit,
sling shit,
catch shit,
shoot the shit,
or
duck when the shit hits the fan.
You can give a shit
or
serve shit on a shingle.
You can find yourself in deep shit
or be happier than a pig in shit.
Some days are colder than shit,
some days are hotter than shit,
and some days are just plain shitty.
Some music sounds like shit,
things can look like shit,
and there are times when you feel like shit.
You can have too much shit,
not enough shit,
the right shit,
the wrong shit
or a lot of weird shit.
You can carry shit,
have a mountain of shit,
or find yourself up shit creek without a paddle.
Sometimes everything you touch
turns to shit and
other times you fall in a bucket of shit and come out
smelling like a rose.
When you stop to consider all the facts, it's the basic building block of the English language. And remember, once you know your shit, you don't need to know anything else!
Well Shit, it's time for me to go.
Just wanted you to know...
that I do Give-A-Shit and
I hope you have a nice day, without a bunch of shit.
But if you happen to catch a load of shit from some shithead

Sick Husband
Eric has come down with something now. I think he's been fighting it for a while now, but yesterday it finally hit him like a ton of bricks. Poor guy is coughing and has a sore throat. He took some nyquil last night and it was all he could do to stay awake for dinner. As soon as he finished eating he crashed (6:30).
I finished another book last night. It wasn't that good, so I won't give a review. It was called "Amateur Marriage". Now I'm reading Bridget Jones's Diary. So far I've read 7 out of the 10 books for my goal to read. That's pretty good. I know I'll surpass that goal this year.
Oh, on another note.... Another house went up for sale in your addition.

GWO IV - Lafayette, IN - April 22-25, 2004
The girls arrived later in the evening on Thursday. We got pizza when Jennifer got there. Danialle arrived a short time later and we watched Survivor. Heather arrived shortly after 9:00 after turning the wrong direction and touring Lafayette. We stayed up for a while and talked (as usual).
We got up fairly early Friday morning and headed to Christina & Co. for our facials. Danialle & I went at 10:00 and Heather & Jennifer went at 11:00. It actually turned out to be a good day b/c they were having a Hawaiian day and we got snacks, drinks, lays, and a chance to win a prize. I won 10% off a purchase of products, Jennifer won 20% off and Danialle got to pick a prize envelope. She let me pick it since I actually live here and I picked an eyebrow wax. The facial itself was awesome. Danialle & Heather got jipped a little b/c they didn't get the skin analysis nor did they get the extra massage, but overall it was awesome. After some quick lunch at Applebee's we headed to "All Fired Up" for some pottery painting. Someone decided it was good idea to pick two pieces and the rest of us agreed, so we spent the next 4 hours painting our hearts out. It was nice though b/c we had a blast and got to talk the whole time. After we finally finished, we headed back home to get ready for dinner. Dinner was at Mt. Fuji Japanese Steakhouse and was awesome. It was really slow as they only had one chef, but we didn't mind as we talked the time away. After dinner we made a quick stop at Priscilla's for some "toy" shopping and then headed to Silver Dipper for some late night ice cream. Once we got home we decided to watch Danialle's movie that was made in the OLD days. Very interesting...
Saturday morning I got up early as Eric had breakfast club. The other girls got up and after a quick swing through campus to view the costumes of breakfast club we headed to Nirvana's for some breakfast, then it was off to Indy we headed for some major shopping. First stop, Pier One. Then, Half-Price Books, where we all found some deals. Finally the mall. We grabbed a quick lunch then shopped around there for hours. Even watch Jennifer put the belly pillow on while she tried on Maternity clothes. After the day of shopping we had to stop at Hooters for some wings. Yummy! Heather had a few drinks and made the ride home quite interesting. Once home Heather headed out for a date with the new "person" in her life. Danialle, Jennifer & I all headed to the grocery store for some snacks that we didn't eat and even got some flip-flops at Payless (the grocery store). After a few games of euchre (we had to recruit Eric), we headed off to bed. Danialle left around 7:30 as she had to get her rental car back and Jennifer left around 9:00 to head back to Ohio. Eric & I finished our Sunday cleaning house, mostly grocery shopping and just relaxing.
This GWO was quite interesting. Jennifer is, of course, pregnant, so we got to celebrate that. Danialle is having some bumps in the road & Heather is "experimenting", so we listened to both of them and gave our opinions and thoughts. I had a few interesting stories to tell myself. Of course, I would have loved to celebrate pregnancy together with Jennifer, but we can do that in July for sure! ;0 *wink*

Temp: 98.1 (Taken at 5:15 am)
HPT: Negative
Yes, it might be a little early yet and sure my temp might go back up tomorrow. I guess we'll just wait and see. I'm disappointed that it went down today and that I had a negative test, but that's life, I guess. Assuming I start tomorrow, the only good thing that will come out of this is that I won't have a baby so close to the holidays. That's about the only good thing coming out of it. I'm okay though. It's not over yet, so God may surprise me yet... I noticed that my cycle is really long this time and I didn't even ovulate until later (Day 18), so maybe this cycle was just messed up.
At least we still get to celebrate Jennifer's pregnancy this weekend at GWO. Only a few hours until my girls get here! Yay!

Tidbits
These are all based around the idea that I will get a BFP tomorrow morning...
1) The 9 thing again. My sisters & I were all born on the 9th of a month, I would have conceived on the 9th of April (Good Friday). Jennifer found out she was pregnant on that date, too. Jennifer's LMP was 3/9, which was my birthday. I'll have a new lucky number. I suppose it should be that way anyway.
2) According to FF, I will be due on New Year's Eve, so that's neat.
3) Jennifer & I will have December babies and December hubbies
4) Jennifer & I will be pregnant together (2 weeks apart). Her being due first, but rightfully so since she was born first

Had another 98.3 today!!! Only 1 more day until I get to test!!! I'm pretty excited that it was up again today. I just hope that tomorrow is the same. I wish it was a little higher, but then again, at least it's not any lower. I'm in a great mood today. I hope I don't get a disappointment tomorrow. It was all I could do to NOT test this morning.

My temp was up to 98.3 today. I must confess that I woke up a little after 5 and got anxious and it was only at 98.1. God & I had a little talk, then I went back to sleep and woke up at 6 when my alarm went off and took my temp again and it was at 98.3. I feel like tomorrow is going to be the deciding day. If it's still up tomorrow then I'd say there's a good chance I am pregnant. If it's down, well, I don't need to explain that.
Honestly, I'm not sure what to think. I just really want this to be my month. I want Jennifer & I to do this together! And more than anything I want to be a mom! I know Eric wants to be a dad, too!

License Overdue
I just realized yesterday that my license were overdue. They expired March 9. Oops. I took off work a little early and got my new license without any problems. Even got my address changed to our new address. AND they didn't even charge the late fee of $5.00. And yes, I'm still 5'3", 105 lbs...

TTC Update
OK. I absolutely don't have any feelings right now about being pregnant. I don't feel like I am what-so-ever. I am going to start temping tomorrow so that I can be prepared for when AF arrives. I don't think I'm going to temp again next month except for around ovulation so I know I ovulate and then maybe at the end so I can prepare for AF. I did temp on Sunday, but it was about 7:30 when I temped so it wasn't even my normal time to temp (6:00). Maybe something will change between now and Thursday, we'll see, but right now I just don't feel anything...
I know it's not over until it's over, but...
I've been sorta crampy since about Friday and I've been moody since about then, too. Eric can vouch for that. It's not that I've been grouchy, I've just sorta been blah.

Weekend Recap
Friday
After work we went out to this hole-in-the-wall place, TC's, and had dinner. Eric had to drop off some product so we just ate there. They have AWESOME food and are cheap. We can eat there for around $20 and get good food.
Saturday
It seems we don't sleep in on weekends anymore. It doesn't bother me to get up early, but it does bother me that I fall asleep early on the couch in the evenings. Anway, we got up early and started working on the pond to get it finished. We put all the mulch down and then realized that the the lights wouldn't work. Eric decided that was going to be a Sunday project as we had to get ready.
I had to go to Indy for an alumni meeting. A group of us that I graduated with have been working on forming an Indiana alumni chapter, so I'm pretty excited about that. Hopefully I can meet some new people get more involved in that. Too bad we don't have one closer to me, but maybe one day we can split it up into regions. First we have to get it going.
Sunday
We got up early again. Eric mowed the yard while I cleaned the inside of the house. I did a major cleaning. I dusted, vacuumed, and washed windows. I need to mop the kitchen and bathroom floors, but I think I'll do that on Thursday when I clean for girls weekend. Eric fixed the lights around the pond. Our "pita" (pain in the *ss) neighbor came over while Eric was mowing to walk him through the property lines like he was 12 years old. Then had to nerve to tell him to mow straighter. I thought he had done a pretty good job. Oh, and they could mow it a few times, so we knew where the lines were. Whatever. Just for that Eric made a lightning bolt pattern on the property line. I'm sure they are thrilled with that.
A little after noon my brother, his fiance and her daughter came over and visited us. Yes, they are engaged now, but not rushing marriage. They are going to wait at least a year to get married. Kaylee is sooooo cute! She was such a great baby. She didn't cry at all and only got fussy when she was hungry. I was sorta leary about holding her at first b/c I didn't know Crystal or anything, but I finally said I wanted to hold her. She was so adorable. It was so nice to see Matt, too. He is doing really good and looks really happy and Crystal seems very nice, too. I think she already has Matt wrapped around her little finger!
Last night we went to Don Pablo's for dinner and went to Target to get some things. That about sums up our weekend.

10 Things to Ponder...
1) What if there were no hypothetical questions?
2) If someone with multiple personalities threatens to kill himself, is it considered a hostage situation?
3) What do you do when you see an endangered animal eating an endangered plant?
4) If a turtle doesn't have a shell, is he homeless or naked?
5) Why do they put Braille on the drive-through bank machines?
6) Does the Little Mermaid wear an algebra?
7) If one synchronized swimmer drowns, do the rest drown, too?
8) If you try to fail, and succeed, which have you done?
9) Whose cruel idea was it for the word "Lisp" to have an "S" in it?
10) What is it called tourist season if we can't shoot at them?

Boring
Nothing much happening in our lives right now. Dad & Peg stopped by last night. It is always so nice to see them. We need to get down there more often, too!
We watched Kill Bill last night. It was interesting, definitely a Quentin Tarantino movie! Apparently Kill Bill 2 comes out in theatres Friday. We might go see it on Sunday.
Saturday, I have to go to Indy to meet with a group of Northwood Alums. That exciting. I hope we start an alum chapter. I still keep in contact with them via e-mail, but don't actually see them very much. We'd also like to mulch around the pond and plant a few flowers before GWO, which is next weekend.
We are going to browse a few stores this evening as I'd really like to get a trellis w/ a bench to put over by the pond. We found a trellis at Lowe's, but it didn't have a bench and Peg said that Rural King had a wrought iron one w/ a bench already made into it in the ad this week. Darn, we were just there Sunday and didn't see it, but o'well, I guess we'll go back. It was much cheaper than the one at Lowe's, too. (Not surprised)

For Sale
We have recenlty noticed that there have been several houses go up for sale in our neighborhood within the last 2 months or so. We are curious to know if it has anything to do with people finding out about our recent news about the child molester or what. The house next to his and the house next to that one are both up for sale. One of which is already empty. People moved out of the house across the street over the weekend, but we think it has sold. Also across the street, but closer to our house, the people put a sign up today. There are two houses behind the child molester's house and one near them that have been empty since we moved in. Finally the first house when you turn into our addition is up for sale. Doesn't this seem sorta weird? We don't even live in a large addition. Eric was driving around the other addition that unfortunately connect with our this morning. It is mostly condos in the front, regular houses in the middle and apartments in the back. Anyway, he said they are putting several more apartments up in the back. YUCK!
I told him he needed to get a job somewhere else far away, so we could move, too! ha ha ha Is this a sign? I like our house and our neighborhood although I know it is only a stepping stone, we will probably live there about 5 years unless something drastically changes between now and then.

Update FF
As you can tell from my ticker above I put in a manual override of my O-day even though I didn't temp, so it was accurate.
Anniversary Evening
Well, our anniversary was nice. We went to the Japanese Steakhouse and b/c we went right after work, we were the only ones there, so it was like they were cooking just for us. (They were) We ran some errands afterwards and then headed home. When we got home Eric decided to open our anniversary cake and took one bite and threw it away. It definitely didn't look good, but we figured it was just b/c it had been in the freezer for a year. Nope it was bad. I was too chicken to taste it, but Eric said it tasted like wet cardboard. YUCK! That was a little disappointing, so I told Eric I'd make him a cake (and I will).
The picture we bought for our living room arrived yesterday, too. It looks great, but we were a little disappointed that it was a lithograph instead of something more artsy. I guess we thought it would actually be painted and more art like. Don't get me wrong, we like it and still put it up.
Still haven't decided on a testing date. I'd like to test on Thursday and that would only be 13 DPO and I'd think my period should arrive sometime between 11-14 DPO or Tuesday-Friday. I guess technically that would be okay. And I suppose technically I "could" be 2 days late if I test on Thursday... I guess I'll also see how next week goes. Not sure if I'll temp again or not. I may as the time gets closer so I can prepare for AF if she comes... I guess it will all just be dependent upon what next week brings... I sure hope I'm not on my period for GWO though. That would just be horrible!

Finally CD 19, 1 DPO
Yep, I took my temp this morning, but I just had to do it one more day. Thankfully the waiting game for O is done, now it's the waiting to test game, which is the worst. Let's just say We've BD'd 5 times in the last 7 days and technically there would be 2 x's on Sunday and Thursday, so that's 7 times. I feel really good about our timing. Wouldn't you? I don't know why, but I've been having majorly RAGING hormonals. I guess that always helps the BD-ing, too.

Early Easter Egg
Yes, the Easter Bunny came early and brought me an extra special gift to remember him all year long...
Friday Five
1. What do you do for a living?
Currently I'm a secretary at a Big 10 University.
2. What do you like most about your job?
I like the people and students I get to interact with and the fact that I get to do different things.
3. What do you like least about your job?
Egotistical Professors
4. When you have a bad day at work it's usually because _____...
Yep, same as number 4. Egotistical Professors who come from somewhere "far away" where they treat women like shit and somehow they think they are in the "far away place" and treat me like their slave when they are fully capable. And to think I liked working with men better than women. I guess it depends on their education...
5. What other career(s) are you interested in?
Let's see. Owning something of my own or with my husband or a housewife. Sometimes I'm inspired to go into the medical field, but then I think I have to go through more school and right now we are trying to pay off debt, not incur it... Truly I don't mind what I do although I get discouraged b/c I have a degree and am not all that challenged in my job. I guess I really don't know what I want to do when I grow up!

My TTC Update
Well, this morning my temp was at 97.7. Not sure what that means. I assume this month is going to be off, but I'm not totally sure. Eric realized this morning that I was temping again and had said that I wasn't going to this month, so needless to say I am done temping for a while. I would love to temp just one more day, but I guess that won't be happening. We are going to keep BD-ing for a few more days and then just go from there. I don't know when I will test now or anything like that. I could have very well have already o'd b/c I'm not sure on the first temp I took, b/c I looked at it in the dark, so it might have been a .2 instead of a .5 and if I discard that one then I very well could have O'd on Day 16. Who knows. I guess we'll know in a few weeks or something. I'm not holding my breath for this month b/c it seems like with me not temping and then temping for a few days has screwed me up. Ugh. Nothing I can do about it now.
On another note
I'm super happy b/c mine and Eric's intimate life has become much better. I love that guy so much and haven't always been the best wife in that area, but I've been working on it and I think I'm doing much better. Not to go into a whole lot of detail, but last night was a GREAT night for us and not just the BD part of it. The more intimate part of it, too. Eric, I know you are reading this to see what I'm putting and I just want you to know that I love you very much and thank you for last night!

Congratulations to Jennifer
She got a Postive Pregnancy Test this morning! Yay! I'm so happy for her and I hope she has a "Healthy & Happy 9 Months!" And it's Good Friday none the less!

Kisha News
I got a call last night saying that my sister, Kisha, got married yesterday... I knew they were going to elope, but they had talked about going away for the weekend. Apparently I was wrong, of course everyone else was, too. Once they get their house finished (repairs) then they are having a reception type/potluck type party...
She already had a dress so Levi said that b/c everyone wanted pics then they would get dressed up go somewhere to get pics for everyone. I guess at least she gets to wear it once...
I won't ellaborate too much, BUT I will say that I feel bad that she didn't have a "real" wedding b/c I know deep down that she wanted one.

Which State has the Worst Drivers?
Acording to this article Massachusetts has the #1 worst drivers.
Everywhere you go, people claim that nobody -- except themselves, of course -- knows how to drive.
Cable network Speed Channel took a survey to try to determine which roads really are populated by the most annoying drivers.
Viewers said that Massachusetts drivers are the worst. The rest of the top 10 are:
* 2. Florida
* 3. California
* 4. New York
* 5. New Jersey
* 6. Ohio
* 7. Illinois
* 8. Texas
* 9. Virginia
10. Maryland
I (and I'm sure my husband will agree) can't believe that Indiana didn't rank up there....

TTC Update
I should be O-ing sometime today through Wednesday. I will probably take my temp on Thursday just to confirm that I did O. My CM has been watery yesterday and today and I feel a little crampy this morning, so I'm betting that I'm O-ing today. In fact, I might take my temp tomorrow just to see. I think we've covered it pretty well. We BD'd Saturday and yesterday. That's about all I know right now. Just keeping my fingers crossed.
Sounds like several people have gotten prego within three months of an HSG, so I feel like I've got something going for me in that aspect. I sure hope so. I'm ready! Seems like 9 months of waiting for 9 months of pregnancy is a fair trade to me!

Exhausting Weekend Re-cap
Friday
My grandparents came over and had pizza and just hung out with us. My grandpa and Eric put in our new digital thermostat and fixed our bedroom ceiling fan which we could not get balanced. Then we played our little game of "7-up, 7-down" and they won their dollar back from the other weekend.
Saturday
Let me start by saying it was very long and very exhausting, but VERY productive. The fish pond is done and I'll try to post a pic later. We made 4 trips to Wal-mart for about 75 - 40# bags of topsoil and 70 or so red/black retaining wall bricks. Plus the numerous rocks we moved from the old pond... The fish pond looks great and so far I haven't lost any fish. We also found Froggie that we've had since he was a tadpole. That was a little sentimental. He was all sprawled out sunning himself in the pond on Sunday, I'm sure happy to have a nice home. The fish are much happier, too. The pond has already cleared up some by this morning. Now I just need to start feeding them. We ran a few errands that evening, got a couple of movies and layed around most of the evening.
We both woke up sore from the manual labor the day before. Me probably worse than he. We layed around for a while in the morning. Around lunchtime we headed to Aquarium world to get a new filter and some new baskets for my plants. Then headed to the grocery store. After we put up the groceries Eric worked on the pond filter while I worked on repotting my pond plants. Then spent the rest of the evening recooperating from the exhaustion.

Friday Five
1. How many houses/apartments have you lived in throughout your life?
Way too many! Let's see what I can remember... 3 Houses in C'ville, 2 in Ladoga, 1 in Lafayette, 1 in West Lafayette
At least that's what I remember...
2. Which was your favorite and why?
Childhood
I'd have to say the house in Ladoga by the pond. There was so much to do out there...Ride 3-wheelers, investigate the woods, play in the creek, play pool, etc. The house was enormous, so we all had our own room and mine had a door to an attic to it. I probably had one of the biggest rooms. It was just an absolute blast!
Adult
Definitely the house we live in right now. I know it's a stepping stone house, but its the first house that is actually ours and we are taking great pride in doing things inside and out.
3. Do you find moving house more exciting or stressful? Why?
Definitely stressful especially with my husband....
4. What's more important, location or price?
Definitely location. I want to be in a good area with good schools and friendly neighbors, close to town, yet not in town. I'd prefer a little more privacy than we have now, but I don't mind it either. Also there has to be things to do!
5. What features does your dream house have (pool, spa bath, big yard, etc.)?
Definitely a big house, 6+ bedrooms, 3+ Bathrooms, Huge Kitchen w/ lots of storage, breakfast area and formal dining room, sunroom, a Den/Library where the office could also be possibly upstairs and open to the downstairs, LOTS of windows throughout the house including bay windows and skylights, Large FULL/FINISHED basement for "rec room", I laundry shoot, 3+ car garage, yard, yard and more yard of course fenced in with vinyl so we don't have to paint it and the doggies can enjoy it. Nice big patio on the back to accomodate the cook-outs, Pool w/ deck around it and spa directly off back porch in an enclosed area, sorta like Heather's, might as well make the pool enclosed, too with a waterfall. In-wall surround sound and speakers throughout the entire house and outside. Several acres of woods at the end of our big yard (for mushroom hunting) and all the other stuff you do in a woods, maybe a cabin so when the kids have sleepovers or when the adults need to "get away". A small guest house. A huge pond near the woods so I can accomodate my fish. Oh and a cat. Possibly a small greenhouse, which I will run from home.
Maybe I should start designing this house.... I guess I'd need to quit my job or hire a housekeeper, too...

Super Busy Week
Wow! I'm glad it's Friday. I've been super swamped at work this. My boss has been out every day except Monday, which I was out. I am of course her backup, so it's been super crazy around here. The only good thing is that I'm getting overtime for it. And I'm sure there's more to come.
TTC
Nothing too exciting going on right now. We are starting BD tonight. I should be O-ing somewhere between Monday and Wednesday. I'm just excited in general b/c we haven't at all this month b/c of AF and then my "procedure" on Monday. I hope I remember how to do it! ha ha ha
Weekend Plans
My grandparents are coming up tonight for pizza. My grandpa is also going to help Eric install our digital thermostat and new tub hardware b/c the masterbathroom is not working correctly. They also want to check out the painting in the living room. Saturday and Sunday are going to be spent working on the pond in our back yard. This is definitely going to be a major chore. But, well worth it when we are finished. My dad & Peg might stop by tomorrow, too. I had originally thought I'd fix them dinner, but I think now I will buying them dinner. Hope they don't mind.
Brother News
I got some news about my brother, Matt, this week, too. Apparently he has met someone (my mom set them up) and has fallen head-over-heels in love with this girl, Crystal. She has a 6-month old little girl that Matt adores and wants to adopt when they get married. They haven't set a date yet, but are buying the ring this weekend, so I'm sure a date will be coming shortly after. It sorta surprised me, but I am very happy with my brother. Apparently he has even quit smoking and drinking for her, too. They are renting a new apartment in C'ville and buying an SUV, so they can drive safely with the baby. Wow! This is a lot to take in, but don't get me wrong I'm happy for them. Oh, I almost forgot! They are going to church now. They went on Sunday and introduced her to my grandparents and plan on going every Sunday thereafter. I always new Matt had good in him, I guess it just took finding the right woman...
